Director of Operations

The Director of Operations is responsible for the management, administration and delivery of all One Arrow First Nation programs and services to ensure that the needs of band members are met in a reasonable, effective manner. Reporting to the Chief & Council, the Director of Operations will oversee all operations of One Arrow First Nation. The Director of Operations will ensure that all operations are conducted in a respectful and responsible way, ensuring that all decisions and actions meet the relevant legislation, policies and procedures. The Director of Operations is responsible for all financial transactions, programs and services created and implemented by the band council, and all staff. The Director of Operations is responsible for managing up to 140 staff members and delivery of programs in the areas of day care, education, public works, social development, lands, membership, justice and housing.

The Director of Operations also acts as a liaison between other government agencies and departments, private industry business and any other individuals, groups or agencies operating in the community. The Director of Operations must ensure anyone conducting business or programs in the community are responsible to One Arrow First Nation, all legislation, polices and procedures, and band community members. The Director of Operations must provide records and documents to the relevant governments and agencies, when requested. The Director of Operations must also ensure that all business and operations are conducted in a responsible, confidential and ethical way.
